What's a Jitty anyway?

We’re Jitty — like a little alleyway. Or “jitteh,” if you’re from Leicester.
Our name isn’t the only shortcut we’ve built in. Jitty is designed to simplify home search for people tired of sifting through irrelevant listings on platforms that haven’t changed since 2002.
You shouldn’t have to guess whether a home actually fits what you’re looking for, or waste time booking viewings just to find out. Jitty gives you more power to filter, more transparency into each listing, and a faster, clearer way to search.
We didn’t just build another property platform. We designed one around how homebuyers actually search and what they care about in 2025.
Built Around Real Needs
Most homebuyers don’t struggle to know what they want. They struggle to find it.
You might want to live within a 30-minute bike ride of your office. Or somewhere rural but still commutable to London. Maybe you’re hoping to spot a good-value fixer-upper. Or you just want to know whether that third bedroom is actually a bedroom, not a box with a window.
Most platforms can’t answer these questions. Their filters were built decades ago, and it shows.
Jitty works differently.
You can search by actual travel time, not distance. So if you want to live within a 15-minute Tube ride of Victoria, or walking distance to a school, you can just type it in.
You can filter by area type, not just postcodes. That means you can search for “anywhere rural with good train links” — and combine it with price or travel time.
We also flag box rooms automatically. If a room doesn’t meet UK minimums, we won’t count it as a bedroom. It’s the same principle behind our price per square foot filter, which shows when a home is priced well below the local average.
And if you’re the kind of buyer who sees potential in “needs work,” you can filter for homes with renovation potential. Or exclude them entirely if you want something move-in ready.
None of this is about novelty. It’s about building tools that reflect how people actually search and what they really want to know.
Search That Actually Matches What You Want
Jitty still uses dropdowns and postcodes. But unlike other platforms, they're just the starting point.
Our AI scans listing photos and floorplans to pull out hundreds of extra data points. You can filter for features like freestanding baths, walk-in showers, exposed brick, large gardens or open-plan kitchens — details that most sites overlook.
You can also combine filters in ways that reflect how people actually think.
For example, a three-bed in a rural area, under £600k, within an hour of King’s Cross by train, with no renovation work needed is a perfectly valid search.
If you have a specific look in mind, you can even upload a photo. Our AI will scan it and show you homes that look similar.
The result is a search experience that helps you find the homes that actually match what you are looking for.
Designed to Be Fast, Flexible and Future-Proof
A better property platform isn’t just about what you can search for. It’s about how fast, responsive and seamless the experience feels.
When people browse for homes, they’re often switching between maps, filters and tabs. So we rebuilt the core of Jitty’s map experience using H3, a global hexagonal grid. It makes travel time filtering faster, search results more responsive and everything smoother.
We embedded a mini-map directly in the search results, so you can see where each property is at a glance, with no extra clicks and no need to jump between pages.
These are quiet but essential features. They reflect the same principle behind our product design system: make the complex feel simple and help people get to the good part faster.
Our Visual Identity at a Glance
The name Jitty comes from the Midlands — it means a narrow alleyway, a shortcut between places. That idea of a quiet, useful shortcut runs through everything we’ve built.
The wordmark connects the two t’s with a literal jitty, a small path hidden in plain sight. The symbol combines a roof, a smile, and a checkmark — a home, a bit of joy, and the feeling of getting it right.
It’s not just branding. It’s how we think home search should feel.

Palette, typography & visual style
Our core brand colour is Plum Pink. It leads a bright and vibrant palette, supported by secondary colours that add contrast and emphasis where needed.
Our primary typeface is a geometrical sans-serif called Roobert from Displaay type foundry. We love its Moog inspired character and mono-linear geometry making it well suited for body copy and display type.

The housing market and peripheral services (i.e. mortgages, insurance etc.) are flooded with generic people photography. So we wanted to balance this with a mix of imagery for a human touch with an illustrative a style that was unique to Jitty.
Our new approach uses our palette to great extent with brighter colours, flat perspective and solid block shadows to make things feel a bit more visually striking.

Why It All Looks (and Works) This Way
Everything in Jitty — from the filters to the font — is designed to make home search simpler, faster and more focused. Not just nicer to look at, but built to help you find exactly what you want.
A smarter interface. A deeper dataset. A search experience that works the way you actually think.
That’s the shortcut we’re building.
